Those on the outside never truly realize the depth of the great people in the Pokemon hobby. They surely don’t think they will find the well-spoken and articulated gentle giant that will vend a Pokemon convention, run a MMA fight, win Jujitsu championships, all while giving you tech support once you regain consciousness. These are just a few of the trades that Jake here at Jarchomp Collectibles has ventured down. Luckily Jared on that grade school bus so many years ago didn’t have to challenge these skills, but instead happily take the $6 for Pokemon Red that ultimately became that catalyst to start the passion for Pokemon that Jake now finds himself making a full-time living from. This journey and so many more we will unpack here today. So please join us as we step into the ring of insightful conversation and welcome Jake to Pokemon Rants Podcast Episode #51. Welcome in Jake!

While many of us may be deep down the rabbit hole that is Pokemon, there is a world of more established and longer running collectibles such as comics, sports, coins and more. From these spaces there is so much that can be learned and perhaps even transposed to our young and bright hobby. Now while I haven’t quite made it to the level of cat litter sponsorship, I can only aspire to be there one day. However, much like the strength of Wolverine’s adamantium claws, Rob at Neo Cards & Comics has had a lifetime of collecting and a plethora of experience that we can all learn depend on. From Comics, to Sports, to Pokemon more, please join me in welcoming Rob to the Pokemon Rants Podcast episode 49, first of 2025!
